Dec Thu 2024
In early winter, pomelos ripen in Changputang Village, Liaojiaqiao Town, Fenghuang County, and villagers are busy picking pomelos in the orchard with baskets.

There are more than 500 mu (about 33.33 hectares) of pomelo trees in the village, with a yield of over 500,000 kilograms. After years of quality improvement, there are four varieties of pomelos in the village, with juicy and delicious taste, and all are highly favored by the market.

Deng Zhicheng, deputy mayor of Liaojiaqiao Town, said, “This year, Changputang Village has achieved a bumper harvest of fruits. The annual production of kiwi, grapefruits, yellow peaches and other fruits will exceed 15 million kilograms, with an output value of over 40 million yuan.”

In recent years, Changputang Village has made efforts to expand and optimize the fruit industry through technology, embarking on its own characteristic development path.
